Terms of Service

Last updated September 24, 2026

1. Who we are

My Briefcase powered by CRMHUB (the “Service”, available at crmhub.ca) is operated by TechX Startup Corp, a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada (“TechX”, “we”, “us”). GST/HST registration # 729017301RT0001.

By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or advertising package, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who may use the Service

Practitioner accounts are intended for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), lawyers and Quebec notaries licensed by a Canadian law society, and their authorized staff and agents. Clients may access the client portal only by invitation from their practitioner.

You must provide accurate registration information, including your licence number, and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and your team members’ accounts.

3. Not legal or immigration advice

The Service is a software tool. Score calculators, eligibility assessments, checklists, form worksheets, rule updates and news summaries are provided for information and workflow purposes only, may contain errors or become outdated, and are not legal or immigration advice. Generated PDFs are data sheets, not official IRCC forms.

Licensed practitioners remain solely responsible for the advice they give, for verifying all information against current official sources (IRCC, CICC, CBSA, IRB, ESDC and provincial programs), and for compliance with their professional code of conduct.

4. Free trial, subscriptions and billing

Every subscription plan starts with a 3-day free trial. A credit or debit card is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged automatically for the plan, number of seats and billing period you selected, plus applicable sales tax (GST/HST/PST/QST).

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until cancelled. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Annual billing includes a 10% discount. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.

You can cancel any time from Firm Settings → Subscription & billing. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged. Cancelling a paid subscription stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law or stated in these Terms, payments are non-refundable; we may grant refunds or credits at our discretion.

Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. Referral rewards and promotional codes have no cash value and may be withdrawn if abused.

5. Advertising packages

Advertisers must submit truthful ads that comply with Canadian advertising law, the Competition Act and CICC rules (for example, no guaranteed-visa claims). Ads go live only after our approval, normally within 24 hours. Rejected ads are refunded in full. We may remove any ad that breaches these Terms, with a pro-rated refund at our discretion.

6. Your content and client data

You retain ownership of the client information, documents and other content you upload (“Customer Data”). You grant TechX a limited licence to host, process, back up and display Customer Data solely to provide the Service.

You confirm you have the authority and any consent required under applicable privacy law (including PIPEDA and provincial laws) to upload Customer Data. For Customer Data, you are the organization in control of the information and TechX acts as your service provider.

7. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service for unlawful purposes or to misrepresent immigration outcomes; upload malware; attempt to access other firms’ data; reverse-engineer or overload the Service; resell the Service without permission; or send unsolicited commercial messages in breach of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update features from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be notified by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that fail to pay, or where a practitioner’s licence is revoked or suspended. On termination you may request an export of your Customer Data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted in line with our retention schedule.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and TechX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, refused or delayed applications, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to TechX in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
